Rooksdown Community Association works to offer facilities and activities for the residents of the Parish of Rooksdown. Running the Community Centre, Youth Club and organising other activities and events.

With this website we aim to share information and news about our community. You will find regular updates about what?s going on, details about the Community Centre, useful links as well as classified adverts from other residents and local businesses.

Rooksdown Community Picnic Saturday 18th July

Want to get to know your neighbours and the community, whilst having an excuse to have fun and play a game of football or cricket?

We will be holding a community picnic and would love to invite the residents of Rooksdown to join us.

Bring your own picnic, drinks and games.

Minibus Hire - Licence Changes

Anyone wishing to hire the minibus will need to supply a code to share their driving licence record before hiring the minibus.

Driving licence paper counterpart has been replaced by this system from 8th June 2015.

Rooksdown's Borough Councillor holds his surgeries in the foyer of the Community Centre on the same days from 6.30pm - 7.30pm.

The RCA will be holding their Extra-ordinary General Meeting on  Monday 13th July at 7.45pm in the Community Centre.

Dog Show Classes

Prettiest bitch / Best dog (male) 12.00hrs /11.30hrs
Best rescue 13.30hrs
Best cross breed  11.00hrs
Best pair (dog and owner) 12.30hrs juniors / 13.00hrs seniors
Best dressed  14.00hrs
Best in show (winners of above categories) 14.30hrs


Garden on a plate
Entries must be on a plate no bigger than 30 cm in diameter.

Cake in a box
Entries must be no bigger than a shoe box and will be judged purely on design.

Picture of the Watertower
Entries must be no bigger than A3 and can be in any medium (No photographs).


Each competition has three children’s age ranges:
Five years old and under
Six to eleven years old
Twelve to 16 years old
And one adult:
Sixteen years and above

Exhibits must be staged between 11:00 hrs and 11:30 hours on Sunday 5th July in the Community Centre and must not be removed until after 3pm.

Entries will be judged by public vote.
